What if I'm a senior?
Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) premiums are eliminated for all Albertans effective January 1, 2009. Prior to that date, seniors, regardless of income were already exempt from paying AHCIP premiums.- Seniors who have submitted their proof of age declaration and been approved are eligible for premium-free Alberta Blue Cross for themselves, their spouses and/or dependants.
