Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)

Two symptoms of SARS are a high fever and cough. As symptoms become more severe, breathing becomes more difficult. Those at risk of contracting this illness include travellers who have recently returned from parts of Asia where the disease is more likely to re-emerge and people who have been in close contact with someone who has developed pneumonia associated with SARS.
  • There are no cases of SARS being reported at this time.
