2003 Summary
Human cases
There were 275 cases of WNv reported in Alberta in 2003. There were 48 cases (17.5 per cent) of West Nile Neurological Syndrome and 223 cases (81.1 per cent) of West Nile virus Fever. There were three asymptomatic cases (1.1 per cent) and in one case the clinical categorization was unknown.
