The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) is an independent organization legislated under the Health Quality Council of Alberta Act
. The HQCA’s mandate is to promote and improve health service quality and patient safety on a provincewide basis and to provide Albertans with an independent assessment of the quality, safety and performance of the province’s health system.
